Das Motiv entstand in einem geschlossenen Infinity Mirror Room (Spiegelraum). Unter künstlichen, von der Decke hängenden Pflanzen erscheint mein Körper vielfach gespiegelt.
Ausgangspunkt der Malerei war meine eigene Videoaufnahme des Raums. Aus dem Videomaterial wurde ein einzelnes Standbild ausgewählt und anschließend in Malerei übertragen. Im Arbeitsprozess wurden Körper, künstliche Pflanzen, Raum und Spiegelungen überlagert, reduziert und teilweise aufgelöst.

The imagery for this work originated in an enclosed Infinity Mirror Room. Beneath artificial plants suspended from the ceiling, my figure appears multiplied in the mirrors.
The painting is based on a single still frame selected from a video I recorded in the space and subsequently reinterpreted in paint. During the process, the body, artificial plants, space and reflections were layered, reduced and partially dissolved.
